The news of the successful surgery spreads, with hospital director Udo Heinemann addressing the media. Meanwhile, reports emerge about the Liebert family, who recently fled from East Germany. Michael Liebert, a foreign trade advisor, has settled in Düsseldorf with his wife and twin children.
During dinner with his fiancée, Eva Heinemann, Tenma reflects on a troubling incident: a Turkish man died after receiving subpar treatment from Dr. Becker, a less skilled surgeon. Tenma was originally supposed to perform the operation but was reassigned to Rosenbach due to hospital politics. The memory of the grieving widow’s blame haunts him.
